Position Summary

The University at Buffalo invites hard-working professionals to join our dynamic University as an Office Assistant 2 - Calculations. This key role helps be the driving force behind our office's mathematical operation. In this role, you will perform advanced financial, accounting, purchasing and statistics tasks to support the needs of the department.

Responsibilities may include:

• Prepare, process, review and record numerical transactions and records

• Supporting designated support staff

• Gathering and preparing data for different forms of communication

This is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide (NY HELPS) program. The nature and variety of the activities depend on the area in which the position is assigned.

Departmental Operating Needs Minimum Qualifications

This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).

Non-competitive (NY HELPS):

One year of clerical experience

OR

Competitive (NON-NY HELPS):

• Transfer Eligibility Requirement: You must have a current permanent appointment with a minimum of 1 year of service in a position of the same title or transferable title.

• Reassignment Requirement: You must hold the same title at the University at Buffalo.

• Reinstatement Requirement: You must be a former state employee to request reinstatement to the title that was held (or transferable title).
