About the Position

We are seeking a motivated Office Administrator to join our team. The Office Administrator facilitates the efficient operation of the assigned department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.

Arbor/Metals Inc., a sister company of Triple-S Steel, provides the highest quality Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Nickel Alloys, Titanium, Copper-Nickel, or other specialty metals in stock sizes or processed to your specifications using our in-house equipment. Most of our processing, such as sawing, shearing and computer-controlled burning of circles, rings or custom shapes is performed by our highly experienced operators. Our commitment to customer service makes Arbor/Metals Inc. an unmatched provider of processed parts.

In addition, Arbor/Metals Inc. also provides products to the PFF (Pipe, Fittings, & Flanges) industry. This is natural for us, as this product line is complimentary to the Flat Products we provide to the Energy, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and other industrial markets. We have become a "One-Stop" source that can handle all your inquiries and orders. In 2022, we acquired Hillman Brass & Copper, which specializes in copper-based alloys, adding new capabilities to our product line and helping expand our position in the non-ferrous markets for industry and government-related projects.

Responsibilities

Administrative Work

  • Understanding of basic accounting / bookkeeping tasks.

  • Maintain office filing system.

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail.

  • Review all incoming invoices for accuracy and present for approval

Sales Department Support

  • Create production orders.

  • Complete production orders / work orders.

  • Complete customer billing.

  • Review documents for adherence to quality standards.

  • Support inventory management efforts.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school Diploma

  • Some college preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook.

  • Sales and Processing experience.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

  • Highly organized individual with a commitment to consistent attention to detail.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to assume additional responsibilities and accommodate customer requests.

  • Ability to work independently, often under pressure/situations.

  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment to perform a variety of tasks.

  • Ability to build business relationships and collaborate effectively.

  • Must be able to interact with all levels of management.

  • Experience working in a busy fast paced environment

  • Naturally attentive to details
