Woodinville, WA - Part-Time, Contractor - Onsite

Contract rate: up to $25/hr

Modern Hydrogen has an immediate opening for a proactive and detail-oriented Office Administrator. You will be a part-time independent contractor (1099) with Modern Hydrogen.

Desired on-site schedule: Monday through Friday, 4-6 hours each day.

Modern Hydrogen is a Seattle-based cleantech startup. We decarbonize natural gas into clean hydrogen at the point of use. With $100MM in venture capital raised from world-renowned investors including Bill Gates to support our vision, we are seeking best-in-class talent to accelerate our impact. The race to decarbonize the planet is on, and our technology has enormous potential to decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors of the economy.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with onboarding & offboarding (computers, desk setups)

  • Taking inventory of, ordering, and stocking Costco snacks, beverages, and coffee

  • Autonomously planning and executing company activities, celebrations, parties, etc. in coordination with HR and other departments

  • Supporting business initiatives that require on-site set up/preparation

  • Scanning mail and other documents

  • Receiving the mail and distributing to employees

  • Taking inventory of and ordering office supplies

  • Greeting visitors at the door, checking them in, and ensuring compliance with our visitor policy

  • Being proactive, recognizing problems & inefficiencies, and conceiving and implementing solutions to improve the lives of everyone working at Modern Hydrogen

  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience as office or administrative assistant in a professional environment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

  • Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality

  • Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage confidential business matters, internal communications, and files with a high-level of discretion

  • Intermediate computer skills required; proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint), as well as chat and teleconferencing applications (e.g. Teams, Slack)
