Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Offensive Cyber Engineer / Reverse Engineer (Mid) to join a diverse team of engineers developing offensive and defensive cyber solutions. With offices across the United States, Dynetics provides responsive and cost-effective engineering solutions, supporting various defense, space, intelligence, and commercial customers.

Dynetics' Threat Intelligence and Exploitation Department is seeking an engineer with experience in the offensive cyber domain to support the United States defense and intelligence communities. The engineer in this role will perform engineering analysis for a variety of embedded systems to characterize attack surfaces, research cyber vulnerabilities, and develop offensive cyber capabilities. Embedded system targets may include mobile phones, routers/switches, automotive computers, smart home devices, unmanned aircraft systems, weapon system components, space systems, and/or industrial control systems.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical degree from an ABET-accredited institution.

  • Candidate must have 3+ years of experience in software reverse engineering, vulnerability research, exploit development, offensive cyber operations, software development, and/or related technical areas.

  • Candidate must be able to mentor junior engineers in relevant technical areas.

  • Candidate must have object-oriented software development experience using C++, Java, or Python.

  • Candidate must communicate professionally and work cohesively in a team environment.

  • Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville / North Alabama area.

Other Qualifications

Experience in two or more of the following areas is preferred:

  • Software reverse engineering and related tools (Ghidra, IDA)

  • Vulnerability research, offensive binary analysis techniques, and exploit development

  • Hardware hacking and embedded system firmware extraction

  • File system recovery, emulation/virtualization, and forensics analysis

  • Rapid tool-development using scripting languages (Python, Bash)

  • Linux operating systems and Linux ecosystem of tools

  • Embedded system software/hardware design

  • Offensive cyber operations

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance.

The Missile and Weapon Systems (MWS) is seeking an Mid-Level Product Security (Cyber) Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL and Colorado Springs, CO. The position will support the performance of cybersecurity engineering for the Ground-based Midcourse Defense program. Primary Responsibilities: * Supporting the implementation of cybersecurity requirements over the entire engineering life-cycle. * Support the performance of cybersecurity engineering for the GMD program * Supporting the implementation of cybersecurity requirements over the entire engineering life-cycle including: Requirements, Design, Development, Integration, Verification & Validation and Test * Support system analysis for cyber threats * Support system test for cyber threats, cyber test activities, and the cybersecurity of large scale events * Support cyber risk assessments and the development of risk mitigation plans * Support the engineering analysis of patches and various system updates and upgrades to determine system consequence of these changes * Attend, collect data from, out brief and facilitate collaboration and project management from various program boards. * Work RMF and CSF compliance plans including CCI consideration, and creation of necessary compliance documentation * Create, update or otherwise assist with program cyber guidance, performance, control, engineering, etc. documents * Support cyber threat intelligence activities * Support the development and maintenance of cyber scanning, patching, remediation, tools and applications * Work and support TEMPEST, DFARS, COMSEC, CNSSI, and other compliance drivers as needed * Support and facilitate various ATO packages including processing IAVMs and CTOs for the same * Perform and support CVA/CVT activities * Perform and/or support the development of tools for cyber forensics * Utilize Agile methodologies for planning and execution of tasks * Support other related tasks as necessary This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
