The off-sift Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for providing day-to-day direction to their direct reports and delivering results that meet targeted expectations in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Establish and maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
Drive schedule attainment, ensuring OTD targets are achieved.
Motivate employees such that they achieve targeted production rates. Rally required resources when needed to remove barriers for operators.
Work in conjunction with Value Stream Managers to ensure production is meeting requirements.
Develop, track and post-performance metrics ensuring all employees have visibility to key performance metrics.
Participate in both informal and formal problem-solving efforts employing formalized problem-solving techniques as appropriate.
Monitor employee performance and administer corrective action in a timely manner when required.
Develop employees and provide access to training to ensure they obtain the skills required to perform at high levels.
Identify and support continuous improvement activities (COS).
Assign employee's daily tasks to optimize productivity and achieve OTD targets.
Ensure quality is built into product by supporting quality initiatives/objectives.
Provide regular feedback to employees via informal daily discussions, formal employee group meetings, one-on-one meetings and performance reviews.
Track payroll, vacation and unscheduled absences using payroll system. Ensure production order transactions are accurately performed by the team.
Work as team member ensuring the success of the overall business.
Interview and hire staff with the support of HR.

Supervise all off-shift employees working in geographically different areas of the manufacturing facility including, but not limited to, Cable Manufacturing operators and technicians, Cable Assembly operators and technicians, CNC Machinists and Post Machining Operators and material handler.
Carlisle Interconnect Technologies is a clean facility, housing different machinery, equipment, processes, and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z41-1991 rated safety toed shoes
Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses
Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas
