As part of Student Life's Off-Campus Residential Experience team within Off-Campus and Commuter Student Engagement, the Off-Campus Specialist reports to the Off-Campus Residential Experience Manager and align their work and all community outreach and engagement with the educational priority and learning goals of the off-campus and commuter curriculum to support all Ohio State University students and to strategically engage as a key influencer in the off-campus residential experience; co-manages the daily operations of the Community Ambassador Program, focused on community outreach and engagement efforts, while executing all educational and programming initiatives; helps identify and tracking of key performance indicators to direct the strategic plan which will require implementation of effective strategic planning, data collection and analysis, effective community outreach and engagement strategies, building off the foundation of the off-campus and commuter curriculum; utilizes instructional design concepts, clearly defined learning goals and outcomes, innovative research, assessment collection and analysis, etc. to address 1) educational opportunities throughout a student's full college experience and beyond 2) community trends, legislation and crime statistics 3) housing market trends in a metropolitan area and 4) challenges facing the community; identifies the needs of the community and utilizes a strategic and proactive approach to program planning for community oriented solutions; leverages relationships with university, city and community agencies/officials to address the University District and Columbus community needs; contributing to grant management and revenue generation to raise funds that support student and community success; contributes to the assessment, growth and effectiveness of programs to inform our work, report out to leadership, and to keep our stakeholders informed; works intentionally across the organization and portfolio to ensure the highest level of service and support for all student and stakeholder populations. Will manage 10-15 graduate and undergraduate student employees.
