We are seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant with experience in Acute Care to:
Provide rehabilitative treatment interventions to complex patients admitted to the acute hospital
Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to carry out comprehensive evidence based treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes and discharge plans
Work within the context of patient- and family- centered care in a primary and specialty care academic medical center
Seek continual learning opportunities to advance one's own practice and educate others
Willing to take on additional responsibilities for program development and process improvement
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum State of Wisconsin licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
Certification in Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automatic External Defibrillator required within 3 months of hire.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Familiarity with a variety of equipment, including computer software, is required.
Organization, time management, flexibility, and positive attitude are crucial to successful performance.
Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
100% FTE, 40 hours per week. Sunday Thursday 8:00 am 4:30 pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department and flexibility with work schedules is essential.
