Functional Pathways is currently hiring at Warm Heath Village in Blacksburg, VA for a

PRN Occupational Therapist


OT shall screen, evaluate, re-evaluate, discharge plan and make revisions in any established plan of care as supervised by the Physician.


Must have a degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.Must possess a current certification from NBCOT if required by state.Active state license required.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Possess current working knowledge of Functional Pathways policies and procedures, clinical programs with application skills to therapy disciplines.Active CPR certification.Annual TB skin test required.Ability to supervise COTAs and OT techs.

Maintains BLS certification. * Maintains safe and clean working environment by complyingwith infection control procedures, rules, and regulations. * Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties;providing explanations of treatment; answering questions. * Prepares patient for radiological procedure bypositioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment intospecified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors. * Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicingradiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patientshielding, and knowledge of exposure factors. Practices radiationsafety as described in Federal standards, utilizing ALARA policy. * Protects patients and employees by adhering toinfection-control policies and protocols; following drug protocols in case ofreactions to drugs, such as contrast media. * Maintains production and quality of radiographs byfollowing established standards and procedures; developing radiographs;observing radiographic results; making necessary adjustments. * Documents patient care services by charting in patient anddepartment records. * Understands and operateselectronic information systems, to include eMAR, Meditech, CR/DR and Pacs. * Contributes to team effort by accomplishing relatedresults as needed and adheres to all aspects of our facilities Code of Conduct.
