Full-Time Position Overview: We are looking for a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Oxon Hill, MD. This full-time position involves working with clients of various ages to help them develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.
Key Responsibilities: Evaluate Clients : Conduct assessments to determine clients needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Implement Therapy : Provide direct therapy services to clients, either as an OT or under the supervision of an OT as a COTA.
Documentation : Maintain accurate records of client progress, treatment plans, and necessary paperwork to ply with regulatory standards. Collaboration : Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including other healthcare professionals, educators, and families, to support client goals. Education : Educate clients and their families on therapeutic strategies and techniques to foster independence and improve daily living skills.
Qualifications: Education : OT : Masters or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. COTA : Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Licensure : OT : Current Maryland Occupational Therapy license.
COTA : Current Maryland COTA license. Experience : Experience in a clinical or school setting is preferred but not required. Skills : Strong munication and interpersonal skills, with a mitment to providing high-quality care to clients.
