  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university

VIEW JOBS 11/11/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-09T00:00 This position is responsible for developing, administering and providing a comprehensive occupational health program for the BMS Redwood City site. In this position the OHN will create and maintain occupational health services for an existing R&D site. The program is expected to comply with BMS Corporate Policies and Directives as well as federal and state occupational health and safety regulations and laws. The position will be located in the medical clinic at the BMS Redwood City site. The position will report directly to the Bristol-Myers Squibb Leader of US Health and Fitness Operations. The OHN is expected to work closely with the Redwood City EHS lead and HR team. * Develop, manage and administer the Occupational Health Services for the Redwood City site. * Develop and implement objectives for the Redwood City Occupational Health Services compatible with the company corporate and Health and Fitness goals and objectives. * Maintain compliance with all local state and federal occupational health and safety policies/standards. * Function as the site medical resource that works directly with the HR and Leader of US Operations on case management, employment issues and policy making. * Collaborate with management, EHS, and other teams to develop occupational health and safety policies for Redwood City, including risk assessments for safety sensitive positions with development of appropriate medical surveillance programs. * Provide clinical services to the employees at Redwood City. This includes examination, diagnosis and treatment where appropriate. * Manage all contract health professionals providing support to Redwood City. * Work with BMS disability and worker's compensation insurance providers to case manage all occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses and short and long term disability claims. * Maintain statistical data in order to analyze health services activities and to plan future resources and set objectives. * Make appropriate recommendations for return-to- work cases such as restrictions and job placements * Investigate, monitor and analyze illness and injury episodes and trends; develop strategies to promote and protect employee health and safety and prevent injury, including ergonomic programs. * Plan and promote company-wide and site-based health and well-being programs * Manage with EHS on-site Emergency Response Team including Blood-borne Pathogens Control plan, CPR/AED First Aid training and developing training exercises for response team. * Manage the research blood drawing program, possibly including phlebotomy duties. Position Requirements: * Must be a RN * Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred * At least 5 years of experience in Occupational Health Nursing * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team * Good interpersonal skills * Experience in managing occupational health clinic * Desire clinic start up experience * Computer skill proficiency Bristol Myers Squibb Redwood City CA
