Occupational Therapist (Ot) - Full Time - La Jolla - Bonus Eligible*

Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospitals and 19 outpatient facilities, which treat half a million patients annually through 2,600 affiliated physicians.

This is a Full-Time (64 hours per pay period) position with a day shift schedule, Monday-Thursday.

Position is located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.

Position is eligible for a $4,000 retention bonus and $3,000 relocation incentive based off eligibility.

The Occupational Therapist provides evaluation, assessment, prognosis, treatment, and education to patients and clients through a continuum of care according to the therapist's respective licensure/registration/certification, Code of Ethics, Federal/State regulations, JCAHO/UMQC and Care Center policies and procedures.

• They perform competencies as outlined in Rehabilitation Services Competency Assessment tools and demonstrate age specific care as established for area and job title.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)

• Must remain in original department/specialty

• Must remain in original Job Title

• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Minimum of five years experience as an occupational therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting required.

• Minimum of two years' experience as an outpatient hand therapist required to work in the clinical hand therapy department.

• Ability to perform all baseline clinical therapy interventions and coordinate all aspects of patient care.

• Effective interpersonal, communication, organizational & time management skills.

• Graduate of accredited school of occupational therapy (BS or MS degree).

Required Certification/Registration:

• Current occupational therapy license in State of California.

• Current AHA BLS certificate.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

• Additional certifications (i.e., CHT or progressing towards CHT) preferred.

• Certified Hand Therapist.

Position Pay Range: $50.20-$74.47/hour
