Our current clients have far more complex physical, behavioral and learning needs and the geographical region where we offer programming has grown from a regional hub to a statewide presence. JOB SUMMARY

The Occupational Therapist assesses, plans, organizes, develops and implements occupational therapy services for individual students/clients and outside contract services in accordance with current applicable federal, state and facility standards, guidelines and regulations. The occupational therapist is expected to evaluate and treat the student/client based on his/her own acquired expertise and adheres to the guidelines of their professional standards and will seek help when needed. Ongoing assessment of student needs to determine direct therapy frequency, training needs for student's whole program, consultation and when to discharge from services is a must. This position may, also, supervise OT student practicums. Most work-related, student/client related problems are resolved at this level.

This position will meet the following minimum requirements:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an AOTA accredited school of occupational therapy is necessary.

  • Current North Dakota licensure as an occupational therapist, or eligibility and evidence of application for licensure, is necessary.

  • Must maintain continuing education requirements as defined by state regulations for ND licensure.

Responsibilities In this role, you'll be responsible for performing evaluations, setting goals and developing treatment plans that allow your patients to restore their ability to function independently. You will work cooperatively with members of an interdisciplinary team to identify and solve patient needs with quality care. You will not only play a major role in your patient's progression, but will also provide them, along with their families, the resources and education needed for a successful transition out of our care. We are interested in speaking with Occupational Therapists who have a genuine drive and a natural ability to lead as they will be a mentor to our Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. Within our facility, you may work with patients who have: * Traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries * Multi-system organ failure * Chronic/Acute respiratory failure * Non-healing wounds and infectious diseases * Ventilators and require weaning While the true depth of this position's responsibilities extend beyond a basic job description, we can assure you that working in an acute care environment will provide you with ample opportunity to grow your skill set provide your patients with high quality care.
