Occupational Therapist

Job Description

This is a Per Diem (as needed) position working with Oro Valley Hospital.

Summary:

Plans and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of occupational therapy.

This position will require working in the skilled nursing unit and occasionally in the acute and / or inpatient rehab settings. Ideally the therapist will have an active State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and an active State of Arizona Occupational Therapist License.

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in occupational therapy.

Experience:

Required for NMC: One (1) year of acute care experience Preferred for OVH: One (1) year of acute care experience

Skills:

Appropriate prioritization and planning skills, while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.

Licenses/Certifications:

Required: Current Arizona Occupational Therapist license; American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) BLS certification For Skilled Nursing Unit: Fingerprint Clearance Card
