Shift:
Day
Outpatient M-F, 8-10 hour shifts
Inpatient 7 day/week coverage, 4/10 hr, 5/ 6-8hr (Sun-Weds or Weds-Sat)

Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited program in Occupational Therapy.
Preferred experiences in Adult & geriatric care. Setting to include inpatient acute care and/or outpatient. Including diagnosis: Musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, integumentary.
Current license to practice occupational therapy in the State of Florida.
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) is required.
About the Job:
A Staff Occupational Therapist evaluates patients, then using sound judgment and psychological sensitivity, plans and implements an effective, individualized occupational therapy program based upon the physical assessment of the patient and their post-discharge needs. The Staff Occupational Therapist maintains a high level of professional expertise and assumes responsibility for their professional growth and development. In addition, the Staff Occupational Therapist adheres to all of the policies, procedures and objectives of Lower Keys Medical Center and the Rehabilitation Services Department. As an Occupational Therapist with Lower Keys Medical Center, you will spend your day:
Planning and conducting individualized occupational therapy programs to help patients develop, regain, or maintain their ability to perform daily activities.
Teaching patients skills/techniques and how to use adaptive equipment for participating in activities.
Studying, evaluating, and recording patients' activities and progress.
Reporting to Director of Rehabilitative Svcs
Works with Occupational Therapy Assistant
