Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of occupational therapy patients at the hospital and satellite clinics toward care plan goals.

• As assigned by the Manager/Director of Rehabilitation Services they provide supervision of staff.

• This person must implement the spirit and philosophy of the Adrian Dominican Sisters and will ensure that the rights of the patient and/or family are safeguarded (by observation and documentation).

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completed all accredited education requirements to be in possession of a valid license in good standing enabling them to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Nevada.

• Ability to communicate effectively utilizing computer verbally and in writing in English.

• Ability to perform basic functions of Microsoft Office.

• LIC OT = Licensed Occupational Therapist in State of NV.

• CT CPRBLS - Basic Life Support - AHA

Preferred Qualifications:

• One (1) year of hospital based acute care practice.

• Completed post graduate education or possesses certification or CEUs in Acute care geriatrics splinting hand therapy orthopedics pediatrics NICU & neurology or any other clinically relevant coursework/seminars.

• Advanced experience with computer software programs and clinical documentation in Hospital based practice.

• Multi-lingual Spanish Tagalog.
