This is a repost of position number 60047503. All previous applicants are still being considered and do not need to reapply.

We are currently recruiting for an Occupational Therapist at Central Regional Hospital (CRH) within the Psychosocial Treatment/Community Living Program.  The primary purpose of the Community Employment Occupational Therapist position is to provide clinical and administrative leadership of assigned vocational and employment treatment components of the Community Living Program (CLP), which is a subcomponent of the Department of Psychosocial Treatment.

This position provides and oversees Occupational Therapy services for patients at our upcoming CLP Step Down Program. The individual will be responsible for assisting with the planning and implementation of the upcoming program and evaluating those referred for the CLP Step Down program through standardized, comprehensive assessment tools.  This position designs and implements Occupational Therapy programs and interventions to meet the patients' treatment goals and monitors and documents the patient's response, participation, performance, and progress towards the goals identified in the Master Treatment Plan. This position works conjunctively with the Director of the Community Living Program in various administrative duties as assigned.

This position focuses on planning and coordinating CLP Step Down treatment services to patients at CRH. This position reports directly to the Community Employment Program Director to assure that the CLP treatment components are clinically sound and integrated with the hospital's and department's clinical objectives and standards.

While this position reports to the Director of CLP, this position also indirectly reports to the hospital's Occupational Therapy Supervisor for review of their performance of quality assurance activities, maintenance of equipment, purchase of appropriate adaptive and assistive devices, completion of multiple administrative duties for this role, and clinical duties associated with this discipline and department.  This position does not supervise other Occupational Therapists; all OT supervision will be handled by the CRH Occupational Therapist Supervisor.

This is a full-time position and is eligible for the full State benefits package.   The normal working hours are M-F 8:00 a.m-4:30 p.m., with flexibility and occasional weekend hours to meet the needs of the program.  This position is mandatory to the Adverse Weather Policy, which will be discussed in detail during the interview process.
