Occupational Therapist

ARRSD is seeking a full time Licensed Occupational Therapist, who will provide direct service to students to support developmental growth of students and to improve skills necessary to access grade level subject matter, thrive socially, and fully participate in the school community.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1.Responsible for serving as a member of the Special Education Team in writing educational plans and progress reports on eSped, and completing assessments within the required timelines.
2.Responsible for following the student IEP and ensuring compliance with state and federal Special Education regulations including the delivery of high quality services, the provision of accommodations/modifications for instruction and
assessment and the implementation of 504s.
3.Responsible for conducting screenings and assessments as needed when referred through Pupil Services or 504 processes.
4.Responsible for the development of written reports following an assessment.
5.Responsible for participating in the development of an IEP or a 504 Accommodation Plan
6.Responsible for the implementation of the Occupational Therapy interventions necessary to comply with the educational plans, in or out of the classroom. Interventions may include but not be limited to lifting, transferring, dressing, exercising, ambulating, positioning, training students and staff with assistive devices, developing home programs, and consulting with other team members when necessary.
7.Responsible for collaboration and consultation to parents, teachers and school staff to ensure carryover into the student's academic day.
8.Responsible for the documentation of services provided and student progress towards IEP goals.
9.Responsible for the supervision of the Occupational Therapy Assistants in implementing the recommended intervention.
10.Responsible for maintaining a caseload across multiple schools. Carry necessary equipment/toys needed to meet the needs of the student's when necessary.
11.Responsible for participation in preschool and kindergarten screening and arena assessment, as assigned.
