Occupational Therapist

Position/Job Title: Occupational Therapist Job Number: 100200058 Employment Type: Fulltime Location: Springfield, IL 62701 Industry: Healthcare Salary: $55.00 Per hour Job Description: Our client is looking for an Occupational Therapist who will be instrumental in providing in-home therapy services as prescribed by a physician. This role involves evaluating patients, creating and implementing therapy programs, and ensuring effective communication with the care team. The therapist will also provide valuable input on the treatment process and offer consultations. Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out assessments and establish therapy goals for patients.

• Develop and oversee therapy programs, modifying them as approved by a physician.

• Educate patients and family on therapeutic techniques and use of assistive devices.

• Regularly re-evaluate patient progress and update treatment plans as needed.

• Maintain thorough clinical notes and stay in communication with physicians.

• Guide and instruct home health staff on occupational therapy practices.

• Complete all required documentation and reports in line with Agency policies.

• Stay professionally current through continued education and training. Travel: - Local travel within the Springfield, IL area is required. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.

• Valid Occupational Therapy License in Illinois.

• Ability to self-manage and work independently.

• Proficient with technology and EMR systems.

• Certifications like AHA BLS, ACLS, or PALS are beneficial. Benefits:
