An OB/GYN is needed at a large health system in Florida. The community has growing demand, so they are accepting new candidates.
They are seeking a staff physician who is mission driven to serve the underserved with a minimum of three years of experience. There will be a 1:6 call schedule with midwives taking first call. Weekend call is once every eight weeks.
If you are not yet board certified, you must be within three years of residency. The ideal candidate will speak some Spanish and be able to start as soon as possible.
You'll receive a competitive compensation package, health benefits, dental, vision, either a sign-on bonus or relocation assistance.
You will be provided 3 weeks of vacation, 10 holidays, your birthday plus one floating holiday, CME plus $2K, a retirement package, and tort reform malpractice insurance.

Primary healthcare includes care of patients with acute episodic or chronic illnesses, emergency care, rehabilitation, preventive health measures, health maintenance and health education services. The Nurse Practitioner may perform medical services when such services are rendered under the supervision of the Medical Director or another staff physician, in the form of being physically present or by discussing the problem via telephone. Responsibilities and Standards * Elicits histories and conducts physicals. * Maintains ethical and professional standards deemed appropriate by peers. * Performs other related duties as indicated or when requested by supervisor. * Educates patient on all aspects of health maintenance, including adults, adolescents and pediatrics. * Orders appropriate labs, EKGs, x-rays and be able to recognize abnormal findings. * Prescribes and dispenses medications and treatments as per the practitioners' licensure. * Initiates requests for consultation or referral with appropriate professionals, clinics, or other health care resources as indicated according to current policy. * Assesses and triages patients. * Refers or seeks consultation with physician when a patient has a condition for which the nurse practitioner is not credentialed. * Participates in QA/QI and Peer Review. Experience Education/Training Level: o Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Certified Program or a Master's Degree in Nursing with Certification as a Nurse Practitioner o Must maintain required CME credits. Maintains CPR, PALS and other requirements as defined by HCN Credentials Committee. Licenses and Certifications: o Must possess a current Florida license to practice as an ARNP.
