This is a standard position, based on Network need, you may be considered for day, evening, or night shift. Please be prepared to discuss your preferred shift at the time of application.
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, provide continuous multiple simultaneous surveillance of assigned patients through a camera monitoring system and patient/staff communications to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. Will also attend to patient needs when requested.
Successful completion of Technical Partner or Patient Observation Assistant training/orientation. High School education or equivalent.
Successful completion of orientation. Ability to multi-task; ability to recognize and act upon changes in patient condition; ability to set priorities; Code Orange required; computer skills; demonstrates the ability to work with multiple interruptions and adapt to changing priorities. 1 to 2 years technology-related experience Successful completion of Crisis Management Course. 1-2 years technology related experience, and emergency situations. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and awareness of ethical and legal responsibilities.
Ability to understand, and the health care team. , and use basic medical terminology. Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form. Ability to utilize excellent customer service skills with patients, document, families.
