OB Tech - Ldrp - Part Time

Provides support to nursing staff and physicians in the delivery of patient care in the obstetrical setting.

Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs scrubbing functions for vaginal and cesarean deliveries.

• Prepares LDRP suites with required equipment to perform specific procedures.

• Maintains and orders supplies for LDRP unit / LDRP surgical suite.

• Provides support to RN in delivery of obstetrical care pre- and post-delivery.

• Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Knowledge sterile technique and maintenance of sterile field for deliveries. (On the job training.)

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.

• Multi-tasking and prioritization skills

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Student nurse, EMT or Paramedic experience.

• Previous OB tech experience.

• Previous CNA experience.

REQUIRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:

• Healthcare Provider BLS through the AHA or ARC before start date.
