Job Description

Set up for deliveries for new mother and baby. Encounter patients in delicate situations.

Prep instruments and equipment for deliveries and other obstetrics procedures. May assemble surgical trays and sterile tables, as well as assist with gowning and gloving. Maintains the inventory and cleanliness in the obstetrics department.

Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, filing paperwork, maintaining records, and running insurance information. Will also function as a Patient Care Secretary. High School Diploma or GED required. BLS Through American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.

Frequently exposed to blood and/or body fluids or potentially infective materials. Requires constant hearing, speaking, vision and repetitive hand movement. Requires attention to detail despite frequent interruptions.
