Job Summary: The Obstetrical Surgical Technician (OB tech) is a member of the labor and delivery nursing team who works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position has a dual role with responsibilities for performing direct patient care duties, scrubs and/or assists during cesarean sections, assists the labor and delivery team in limited pre and post delivery care, transporting of patients, with preparation and maintenance of equipment and supplies, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and general secretarial, receptionist, and clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: Obstetrical or surgical related experience preferred

Licenses / Certifications: Must maintain current BLS certification
