The base pay range listed is a good faith estimate of what Oasis Charter Schools may pay a new hire. Actual pay may vary based on our assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications, and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include the work location, hours, and internal equity.

Under the general supervision of the Superintendent, provides leadership in the planning, development, implementation, and daily operations of the assigned departments in a safe and cost-effective manner that supports the goal of the Charter School Authority. Provides managerial leadership in Food Service to include the National School Lunch Program. This position supports the Governing Board Policy, State Statutes and Federal Regulations as they pertain to the Charter School System.

Performs related work as required.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directandcoordinate the planning,development,implementation,and evaluation ofthe NationalSchoolLunch ProgramforCity ofCapeCoralCharter School Authority.

  • PlanandmanagetheNationalSchoolLunchProgram'sbudgetincludingrevenue forecasting andallocation ofresourcesto ensurethe program isself-supporting.

  • Assurecompliancewithlocal,state,andfederalrulesandlawsandNEOLApolicy pertaining to allaspects offoodserviceprogram operations.

  • Hire,trainandsuperviseassignedpersonnel;conductannualperformanceappraisalsandmake recommendationsforappropriateemploymentaction; verify payroll.

  • Organizeandoverseepersonnelissuesforthedepartment.

  • Performsitereviews toevaluate school programs to determine efficiency of operation,financialstatus,andadherencetopolicies,procedures,andregulations.

  • Actasaliaisonbetweenpersonnel,managers,principals,andSuperintendent.

  • Plananddevelopin-serviceactivitiesandtrainingcoursesfordepartmentpersonnel.

  • TrackallFoodSafetyManagerCertifications.

  • Superviserevisionsandmaintenanceofthedepartmentpolicyandproceduremanual.

  • Attendstaff meetingsandparticipateinconferences, andothertrainingsto enhancejobperformance.

  • Promotethe organization'sinterest inincreasing studentachievement by workingwiththe educationalinterestsof students in mind at all times.

  • Maintain positive communications with colleagues, community members, parents, and students to promote an increase in community engagement in education.

  • Support the retention of Highly Effective and Effective employees by exhibiting professionalism and making positive contributions to workplace morale.

  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement by valuing learning and making a commitment to quality.

  • Lead and/or attend various meetings to communicate Information; advise, recommend, and make presentations developed to present technical proposals/plans/documentation.

  • Perform project management duties, including planning, prioritizing, and coordinating, and determine and deploy resources required to successfully complete projects on schedule and within budget, ensuring project objectives are fulfilled.

  • Generate creative solutions to organizational challenges.

  • Prepare recommendations for Governing Board meeting agendas and attend Governing Board meetings as needed.

  • Lead and monitor division/departmental progress toward attainment of division strategic goals and objectives.

  • Ensure Wellness Policy is developed, monitored, and modified as needed in collaboration with the Wellness Committee and communicated with the public each year.

  • Complete Triennial Assessment with surveys every three years to be incorporated into the Wellness Polley.

  • Responsible for monitoring and managing a successful NSLP Administrative Review.

  • Responsible for the free and reduced meal application process for all schools as well as the annual verification process.

  • Responsible for the accuracy of data entered Into the NSLP database for various areas Including October Data, April Data, Health Inspections, Verification, Claims, and the annual NSLP application.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor'sdegreefromanaccreditedcollegeoruniversity,

  • Five ( 5) years successful experience in management and financial reporting, to include five (5) years' experience with the National School Lunch Program's policies and procedures.

  • Three (3) year supervisory experience in logistics, business management and/or related work.

  • Must possess a valid state driver's license with the ability to obtain a valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire or promotion.

  • Current Food Safety Manager Certification

  • Bi-lingual skills encouraged

And/or such alternatives to the above qualifications the Superintendent and/or Governing Board may find acceptable.

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge ofthe

Florida Department ofAgriculture and

Consumer Services' regulations as they relate to child nutrition programs, Including food service, purchasing,recordretention,safetyandsanitation,warehouse,anddeliveryservices.

  • KnowledgeofStateBoardofEducation regulations, statestatutes, federallaws,and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations asthey relate to child nutrition programs, food service, records retention, safety, sanitation, and property control.

  • Abilitytoworkwithandleaddiversegroupsofpeople.

  • Excellentoralandwrittencommunicationskills.

  • Knowledgeofandexperiencewithindustry-standardcomputer applications.

  • KnowledgeofHIPAA,PublicRecords,SunshineLaw,FERPA,andotherlaws/regulationsrelated to student andemployee privacy, public

Information, and records retention.

  • Ability to respond to parent, student, staff needs and requests professionally and effectively for services or assistance.
