The NVH Test and Validation Technician is responsible for ensuring quality designs through comprehensive requirement testing and validation of Small Personal Transportation Vehicles. The position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of different alternative vehicle components, subsystems and vehicles. The position requires the technical expertise to develop and lead product validation testing, drive to root cause for quality and reliability issues, and conduct projects in accordance with engineering excellence.
Experience with LMS Test.Lab. Other data acquisition experience is a plus (SOMAT, M+P, B&K, etc )
Experience with the setup of data acquisition, instrumentation (microphones, accelerometers, force sensors, and tachometers), and collection of data.
Experience processing data such as FFTs, PSDs, SRSs, Coherence, Order Plots, modal parameter picking, filtering, etc.
Experience completing driver and drive by vehicle sound qualification testing.
Experience with dyno testing to collect vehicle vibration data.
Experience with diagnosis of issues and irregularities in rotating machinery such as gears, bearings, shafts, etc.
Experience with forced response and resonance.
Experience with source, path, and receiver identification and transfer path analysis.
Experience with impedance tube testing for acoustic materials, intakes, and exhausts
Must be a self-starter who can work with little direction from engineer.
Must be able to write detailed test reports with notes, plots, and photos.
Experience with both gas and electric powertrain NVH issues.
Must be detail oriented.
Must have machine shop capability with fixture design experience.
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE NECESSARY: 5-10

Competency in Microsoft products including, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint required. Ability to lead a team and work as a member of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent technical, analytical, and problem solving skills. Education and/or Experience Required: Required: High School diploma. Preferred: Associates Degree in related technical field. Knowledge of NVH data collection and analysis.
