The NVH Test and Validation Technician is responsible for ensuring quality designs through comprehensive requirement testing and validation of Small Personal Transportation Vehicles. In this test technician roll, individuals will have the authority, support, and autonomy to execute the vision as well as establishing themselves as high-respected contributors.
The position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of different alternative vehicle components, subsystems and vehicles. The position requires the technical expertise to develop and lead product validation testing, drive to root cause for quality and reliability issues, and conduct projects in accordance with engineering excellence.

Experience with LMS Test.Lab. Other data acquisition experience is a plus (SOMAT, M+P, B&K, etc )

Experience with the setup of data acquisition, instrumentation (microphones, accelerometers, force sensors, and tachometers), and collection of data.

Experience processing data such as FFTs, PSDs, SRSs, Coherence, Order Plots, modal parameter picking, filtering, etc.

Experience completing driver and drive by vehicle sound qualification testing.

Experience with dyno testing to collect vehicle vibration data.

Experience with diagnosis of issues and irregularities in rotating machinery such as gears, bearings, shafts, etc.

Experience with forced response and resonance.

Experience with source, path, and receiver identification and transfer path analysis.

Experience with impedance tube testing for acoustic materials, intakes, and exhausts

Must be a self-starter who can work with little direction from engineer.

Must be able to write detailed test reports with notes, plots, and photos.

Experience with both gas and electric powertrain NVH issues.

Must be detail oriented.

Must have machine shop capability with fixture design experience.
Desired Attributes Experience with MATLAB Experience with Siemens Virtual Lab Experience completing durability tests of components using electrodynamic/hydraulic shaker systems Experience with sound quality metrics, measurements, and jury evaluations Core Test Candidate Key Responsibilities Data acquisition equipment and methods. Knowledge of vehicles and their major subsystems (engines, motors, axles, suspensions, etc) Mechanical and Electrical testing methodologies. Experience with sensors. Data analysis, reduction and graphing, preferably with automation. Project management. Problem solving (9-step, 8D, etc.). Ability to write test plans and test reports. Competency in Microsoft products including, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint required. Ability to lead a team and work as a member of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent technical, analytical, and problem solving skills. Education and/or Experience Required: Required: High School diploma. Preferred: Associates Degree in related technical field. Knowledge of NVH data collection and analysis.

A Day in the Life of a Rural Sourcing SDET: This role will be responsible for developing tools that automate testing tasks, validate data, and monitor web services. The SDET will work with development teams to identify test processes that can be automated, identify potential manpower savings, increasing the breadth and reliability of test by designing automation scripts. The SDET will also work towards automating non-test related QA functions like build deployment, mastering and other processes defined in conjunction with the QA Management team to cross functionally and proactively establish an automation practice.
