JOB SUMMARY:

  • Performs technical jobs however may be trained for non-technical jobs and perform them on occasions.

  • Technical jobs include working with different diets, delivering food to patients, preparation of large quantities of food, able to cook to order for patients and cafeteria, taking inventory of stock and monitoring of equipment and cash register.

QUALIFICATIONS:

JOB SPECIFIC CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Knows temperature danger zone for hot and cold foods

  • Can properly clean and sanitize their work areas

  • Knows proper procedure to label and dating open food items

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

May include the following duties:

  • Cooking to order.

  • Preparation of large quantity of food.

  • Knowledge of CBORD computer system.

  • Exemplary customer service skills.

  • Use of all equipment in the cook's area and cleaning of all equipment.

  • Has knowledge of food products including pack size and where inventory is stored.

EXPECTED BEHAVIORS:

  • To provide optimal food quality and meal service to patients, associates and guests visiting our cafeteria.

  • Able to demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality, ability to handle responsibility without supervision.

  • Is AIDET w/Promise trained.
