About the Employer

We are a unified school district serving more than 16,150 students in grades K -12. We have thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools and one K-8 school.

We also offer a home schooling program, adult education courses and other unique programs to fit the needs of all students. Our school district employs approximately 1,100 certificated and nearly 900 classified employees. Eligibility is determined via an evaluation and competitive screening/scoring of a candidate's training and experience as demonstrated on the application and responses provided in the supplemental questions.

The Nutrition Services Lead I classification is assigned to a designated school site. Incumbents perform responsible and varied food service preparation activities in addition to training and providing work direction and guidance to staff as assigned by the position. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and two years of experience in the preparation and serving of food in large quantities. LICENSES/Other Requirements: Valid Serv-Safe certificate. All offers of employment are conditional upon the applicant's satisfactory results of the Pre-Placement Evaluation Program (PEP) strength test.

SELECTION & EXAMINATION: The selection process will consist of an application screening for completeness and qualifications, a written exam (weighted 40%) and oral panel interview exam (weighted 60%) will be conducted.

A passing score must be achieved on all exams to be placed on the eligibility list. Final selections will be made from the three highest accepting ranks off the eligibility list.
