Providence is calling a Nutrition Services Clinical Systems Coordinator (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.

The Nutrition Services Clinical System Coordinator is a member of the clinical nutrition team and participates in strategic planning and implementation of clinical software programs within the Nutrition & Culinary Department. Participates in defining, implementing and improving nutrition and clinical information systems for nutrition care of patients within the SWR.

In this position you will:

  • Maintain clinical and business requirements for nutrition information systems used in the management and operations of an integrated healthcare system.

  • Participate in evaluating the effectiveness of existing nutrition information systems, assessing the potential for optimization, expansion and system integrations.

  • Support Clinical Dietitian and Nutrition Manager with projects that improve diet office clerks and dietitian productivity, measurements and goals.

  • Execute goals for nutrition information system activities.

  • Facilitate and collaborate with Information Services and other areas as needed to ensure the development and smooth implementation of comprehensive and effective nutrition information system solutions. (Epic, Computrtion interface)

  • Act as the Nutrition Department liaison between the System IT team, Computrtion Council and region ministries.

  • Participate in the systems development and maintenance activities, including review of systems analysis and design documents, cost/benefits analyses, proposals, projects plan and schedules.

  • Coordinate development of databases and date dictionaries for nutrition information systems for both ministries.

  • Identify and train users for all systems at both ministries.

  • Participate with all committees/task forces across disciplines as a representative of patient care for nutrition and clinical information systems.

  • Assure competency of nutrition system users. Develop, execute and track in-service education for the Nutrition Department at both campuses.

  • Coordinate huddles on both campuses and use as education tool for nutrition service employees.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Associate's Degree

  • Equivalent food service experience, IT, leadership, supervisory or management may be substituted for education requirements.

  • Must have at least three years' experience working in an acute care hospital setting.

As a member of our Legal Services team, serving as the Legal Services Legislation and Rules Coordinator, you will manage the agency's APA-rulemaking process, including drafting proposed rules, meeting with internal and external stakeholders, analyzing proposed legislation, and holding rulemaking hearings. Additionally, you will be responsible for analyzing new and proposed legislation, and will assist in drafting proposed bills and proposed amendments to bills. You'll partner with the Employment System Administration and Policy unit (ESP) in the development and review of Department policy, and will provide trainings to internal and external customers on legal issues. As a critical member of our team, you'll advise management on highly complex and sensitive unemployment insurance tax and other legal issues having industry-wide, statewide and national significance. As needed, you may also assist in representing ESD's UI Customer Support Division in unemployment tax appeals, and, other benefits-related administrative appeals before the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH) and the Commissioner's Review Office (CRO). Salary ranges for these levels are: * Tax Policy Specialist 1: $49,752 - $65,292 annually depending on qualifications. * Tax Policy Specialist 2: $59,148 - $77,616 annually depending on qualifications. * Tax Policy Specialist 3: $66,888 - $87,792 annually depending on qualifications. Duties In this role you will be relied upon to coordinate policy analysis of legislation impacting the agency's programs, review bill analyses prepared by others, gather and provide data for the development of fiscal notes, and mentor division staff in the preparation of bill analyses. You'll analyze, review, and draft proposed legislation, on matters relating to unemployment insurance and workforce development. Additionally you will review proposed state legislation for conformity with federal laws governing the agency, and advise the Government Relations unit of legal concerns with bills. Some of what you'll be doing: * Providing technical assistance to the Legislature on proposed bills to ensure smooth integration of new bills into existing statutes. * Coordinating internal processes for considering potential rules to include in rulemaking agenda, providing analysis to management on potential rules. * Independently drafting rules to be adopted as part of the Washington Administrative Code for all programs state and federal statutes administered by the department. * Managing, monitoring and maintaining all rulemaking activities within the agency. * Preparing rulemaking notices and cost/benefit analysis and submitting them to the office of the Code Reviser for publication in the state register. * Facilitating and coordinating the rulemaking public information and notification process required by law. * Representing the department at in-person meetings with stakeholders to obtain input on proposed rules. * Collaborating with the Attorney General's Office and agency leadership concerning the amendment and adoption of rules impacting the department. * Conducting public hearings and receive testimony regarding proposed rule changes. * Making presentations to the internal and external stakeholder groups concerning new and proposed rules. * Analyzing input from stakeholders on proposed rules and finalize rules based on that input. Preparing written explanation for stakeholders of reasons for accepting or rejecting their requested changes. * Reviewing significant decisions issued from Office of Administrative Hearings, Commissioner's Review Office, and state and federal courts and assess their impact on the agency's operations. NOTE: A Master's degree or equivalent in a Ph.D. program in economics, public finance or closely allied field will substitute for two years of experience. A Ph.D. degree in economics, public finance or closely allied field will substitute for three years of experience, or a combination of education and/or relevant experience. OR Admission to practice law in the State of Washington or graduation from an accredited school of law and current admission to practice before the highest court of a state AND two (2) years of experience as a Tax Policy Specialist 1 or one (1) year of experience as a Tax Policy Specialist 2.
