Job Summary

• The Nutrition and Food Service Assistant is accountable for providing quality resident meals, snacks.

• Assists with meal preparation, assembly of meals, service to the resident and cleanup.

• Provides exceptional care and service to, residents, guests and Household at all times.

• Supports the hospital's goal of excellence in patient care in a Christian, caring environment by facilitating positive employee relations and supporting department goals.

• Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship for others, stewardship.

• Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and the Ethical and Religious Directives for healthcare.

Education and/or Experience

• One year food service related experience and/or training preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Certified as a Feeding Assistant within 1 year - (Full time employees only)

Work Schedule

• Requires a weekend rotation, then as available during the week; PRN, varied shifts as needed

• 6:00am-2:00pm or 4:30pm-7:30pm

• Every other holiday

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $17.00 - $20.50 per hour
