SUMMARY:#The Birthing Center Nursing Supervisor is responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the operation of the Unit on a 24-hour basis.

The Birthing Center Nursing Supervisor provides direction, coordinates care, serves as a resource and acts as a role model for staff to ensure comprehensive and safe patient care. Will oversee the delivery of professional nursing services in each designated clinical area to assist in assuring a patient/family focused environment. Works under the direction of the Director to develop, implement and evaluate systems that promote cost-effective, quality patient care. Quality patient care is defined as care that is safe, effective, efficient, timely, equitable, patient-centered and evidence-based. Required Education/Training:#Graduate of a school of nursing Required Experience:#Minimum two (2) years clinical nursing experience; advanced training and experience in specialty#(Labor and Delivery, Level II SCN, or Mother Baby) Required Licensure/Certification/Registration:#Current Registered Nurse with eligibility to work in the state of MO; BLS; ACLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross); NRP Preferred Education/Training:#BSN; MSN;#graduate from an accredited nursing program Preferred Experience:#Served in charge or other leadership role Preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration:#Maternal/Newborn (RN,C); Low-Risk Newborn (RN,C); Inpatient Obstetrics (RN,C); Nursing Administration (CNA)
