Job Shift: Shift 1

Shift Details: 7a-7:30p with every other weekend and rotating holidays

The Nursing Technician performs delegated aspects of patient care on an assigned unit. Working under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities:

Collect, report and record patient data.
Assist patients with activities of daily living.
Implement selected aspects of the patient care plan according to hospital policy and procedure.
Assist in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient and/or their family members.
Maintain unit equipment and supplies as directed.
Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Nursing Students are encouraged to apply.
2 years of Nursing Technician/Assistant experience required or CNA or clinical experience in school.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Must be available to orient full time on the day shift for at least two weeks.
Previous hospital experience is strongly preferred.

VIEW JOBS Responsibilities include all aspects of product testing, ingredient screening, sanitation monitoring, loss control prevention, QA/QC of Equipment, record keeping and report generation. Communication of quality standards and direction of blending/standardizing operations is also included. All activities should follow Safe Quality Foods (SQF), HACCP and Allergen food safety and quality policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and Safety policies and procedures as provided by company management. Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Finished Product Quality, Ensure collection and analysis of finished products for all quality assurance and customer specifications, including bacterial content, codes, weights, physical, chemical and organoleptic standards. * Product Loss Control, Record and Report lot results for each batch of standardized product produced. Direct processing personnel to correct product being blended until the appropriate specification is achieved. Screen products prior to packaging for quality standards. Investigate and report incidents of non-compliance. * Raw Material Analysis Screen incoming ingredients and raw milk receipts for compliance with Quality Assurance standards. Collect samples for outside laboratory analysis where applicable. Notify regulatory agencies of incidents of regulated non-compliance. * Record keeping/Reporting Maintain accurate and legible records. Complete customer regulatory and internal reports on a timely basis. Report noted deficiencies or missing data. * Communication Record information forwarded to or collected by quality assurance and report to the appropriate plant personnel in a professional and timely manner. * Sanitation Analysis Collect and analyze environmental and sanitation related samples for compliance with company standard operating procedures. Record and report data. * Lab Supplies Order and manager the inventory of all quality assurance related supplies and materials. * Calibration Ensure the accuracy of all quality assurance measurements and procedures by completing accurate and timely checks and calibrations of all equipment and materials as required by internal Quality Assurance programs. * Perform all other duties assigned by the foreman, supervisors, and management, and this may involve temporary relocation to other departments. * All personnel have the authority and responsibility for shutting down production lines and reporting to management when food safety or quality is suspected or known to be compromised. * Management has the responsibility to assure that all food safety issues related to equipment, processes and methods have been adequately addressed to assure safe food is being produced before starting or continuing production. * Adhere to all DFA Food Safety and Quality policies and procedures, reporting any non-conformities to Quality Assurance Management. * Adhere to all DFA Safety policies and procedures, reporting any non-conformities to the Plant Manager or the Safety Manager. ▪ Adhere to all DFA GMP/SOP policies and procedures, reporting any non-conformities to Quality Assurance Management. * The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee; but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties and skills required. Ammonia Technician

VIEW JOBS Ensure the smooth daily function of the ammonia engine room and complete system. Ensure all preventative maintenance, work orders and repairs to equipment are complete to the area assigned. Also included are glycol systems, condensers, heat exchangers, boilers, air compressor, wastewater treatment system, and related equipment. Assist with implementation and development of continuous improvement ideas. Key components of the position will also include safety practices and facilitation of teamwork and perform tasks intended for maximizing asset reliability, availability, and maximum efficiency specifically related to plant utility systems. * Ensure the safe and appropriate operation of the plant utility equipment. Systems and equipment groups include but are not limited to, steam, anhydrous ammonia refrigeration, wastewater treatment, and compressed air system * Assist in performing work on production/processing machinery and other mechanical equipment to buildings as needed * Calibrate all equipment and instruments as assigned * Execute work orders on time as assigned by planner/scheduler, Maintenance Manager or other members of management as assigned in proper priority * Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on all equipment in accordance with applicable Federal, State and Local regulations * Lift heavy objects, paint, and clean * Maintain daily log and shift-to-shift handoff * Participate in cost reduction/continuous improvement activities * Perform all duties safely, following all safety programs, to prevent injuries to self and others. Report all injuries and property loss incidents, including spills; actively participate in team safety efforts * Follow all sanitation and quality SOP's to ensure all equipment is clean and ready for production. Ensure housekeeping of utilities areas are "tour ready" at all times * Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP guidelines and SQF requirements * The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties and skills required. Required Education and Experience * High School diploma or equivalent * Maintenance/operator experience with ammonia systems and boiler systems * Experience operating under PSM/RMP guidelines * Must be Ammonia Operator 1 trained (or have ability to be certified within 12 months) * Must be able to interpret drawings (P&ID's), read, write, and communicate clearly in English * Able to track data in computer-based management software for ammonia and wastewater record keeping * Grounds and facility maintenance experience preferred * Certification and/or license -- ammonia operator certification as required Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Good mechanical aptitude * Strong ability to learn complex physics of large ammonia refrigeration system * Able to work independently or in a team environment * Knowledge of and ability to learn personal computers and software * Must have positive attitude and good leadership, interpersonal and communication skills * Able to efficiently operate an ammonia plant * LEAN Manufacturing -- Contribute to a continuous improvement environment by participating in activities to include line side problem solving * Able to read, write, and speak English
