Job Description: Overview

We are currently seeking a full-time Nursing Supervisor LPN for our Habit OPCO - Brattleboro facility. Hours are primarily Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

Habit OPCO - Brattleboro CTC, a member of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers, is a part of the leader in medication assisted treatment for individuals struggling with an opioid addiction. With full-circle care that includes a blend of therapies and the use of safe and effective medications, we are prepared to treat the entire problem, not just a piece of it.

Position Characteristics

The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of a nursing work group in an outpatient addiction recovery environment; maintaining standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with clinic policy and procedures; responsible for directing care for patients, facilitating work flow, serving as a resource for staff and providing team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that the Medication Room of the clinic is in full compliance with all facility or clinic policies, Federal and State Laws and Regulations at all times;

  • Supervises daily clinical operations for staff, makes staff assignments and creates schedules, updates schedules for providers and support staff when changes are made;

  • Supervises and evaluates work activities of nursing, technical, clerical, service or maintenance staff for the work group, and other clinic staff, as directed;

  • Responsible for ensuring that medical records for patients are in compliance with facility or clinic policies, Federal and State Laws and Regulations at all times, will review medical records to ensure compliance;

  • Oversees quality assurance activities and compliance to operational standards, participates in program development, development or implementation of operating policy and procedure, and promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices, as requested;

  • Assists with the recruitment, hiring and training of new staff; and,

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

  • Minimum of 2+ years related nursing practice

  • Minimum 1 year supervisory responsibility

  • Prefer experience in behavioral health/addiction recovery environment (inpatient or outpatient)

  • There must be no history of alcohol or other drug misuse for a period of three years before employment

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in the state of Vermont.

Learn more about this agency Responsibilities The applicant will lead a multidisciplinary team providing compassionate General Internal Medicine healthcare at the Rutland, VT Community Based Outpatient Clinic or the Brattleboro Community Based Outpatient Clinic with the White River Junction VA Medical Center. The panel of patients will include both male and female veterans with acute and chronic illnesses. The provider is also expected to participate in implementing/sustaining the VA Patient Centered Medical Home Model called Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT). The Medical Director will demonstrate proficiency in practice, planning, and self-direction in goal setting for managing each Veteran's medical need. Candidates with leadership experience and with administrative capabilities are preferred. The Medical Director will provide management and leadership of interdisciplinary patient care services within the Primary Care setting. This position is 80% clinical and 20% administration/management. The Medical Director will work in conjunction with the Nurse Manager to oversee the daily operations of the clinic and will be the first line supervisor for physicians and nurse practitioners assigned to the clinic. The Medical Director will participate in strategic and operational planning, establish workload targets, and review staffing and workload utilization and monitor performance measures.
