The Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor is a vitality specialist that helps change the lives of patients and residents each day. Responsible for providing a full range of nursing care in an interdisciplinary environment including:

  • Providing clinical oversight of the nursing units

  • Rendering a combination of administrative and bedside care

  • Facilitating the implementation of the care delivery model and processes

  • Assisting with staffing, recruitment and mentoring

  • Coordinating with other departments

  • Supporting clinical Leadership and Education

  • Fostering quality Improvement



REQUIREMENTS: * A graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college or university; BSN preferred

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing

  • Minimum of three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred

  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in long-term care preferred

  • One year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred.

Provides direct supervision to direct or indirect labor staff. Insure that plans are implemented and milestones are achieved. Direct the activities of staff to achieve objectives at lowest cost. Identify projects to improve processes, reduce costs, and maintain operations. Manage logistics as it applies to the department. Data mining MRP and organizing information to show the relationship of material availability to process flow. Plans for Development of Direct Reports: Assesses strengths, development needs, and promotability of direct reports and provides feedback, gives input into development plans, provides opportunities for growth and learning, provides career guidance and support. Staffs Positions: Recruits, interviews, and selects candidates to fill current position openings. Understand detailed area operations. Regularly makes decisions which impact quality, time or cost, timely decisions are required regarding issues such as to proceed or abort, work OT, etc.. Manages assigned projects, work cross functionally to identify changes and necessary resources. Uses time effectively, both for self and others, identifies appropriate meeting participants and uses meetings effectively. Create a climate of trust and respect within the group. Exchanges information with employees, peers, and management regarding operations. Plans Activity Structure: Makes plans to accomplish assigned activities and projects, establishes priorities so as to handle competing demands, optimizes use of available resources, estimates time and resources necessary to complete tasks or projects. Problem solving: Tracks and reviews daily indices (e.g., line outputs, labor efficiency, reject rates) to identity gaps between current and desired performance, applies standard problem-solving tools (e.g., fishbone diagrams, Pareto analysis), interfaces with other areas to identify and solve problems. Education/Experience Bachelors Degree (Engineering preferred) required with 6+ years operations/technical/quality experience, OR 10 or more years of directly relevant technical/operations/quality experience sufficient to demonstrate the knowledge typically associated with the degree and experience requirement. Medical Device experience is preferred. Experience with Logistics / MRP / data mining / cybersecurity / lean / capital equipment Two or more years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or related field preferred. Must have the ability to analyze and problem solve in a timely manner, handle multiple tasks, work under pressure. Knowledge/ understanding of business metrics. Demonstrated success in error resolution, conflict management and working in a team environment.
