Nursing Simulation And Clinical Education Center Assistant

Rivier University is now accepting applications for a Nursing Simulation and Clinical Education Center Assistant. Reporting to the DNHP  Nursing Simulation and Clinical Education Center Director, the Assistant will assist with the management and the day to day coordination of lab activities. The role requires work on nights and weekends.

• Assist with inventory and management of lab supplies.

• Set up Simulation Labs and skills labs.

• Monitor Open Labs when work study students are not available.

• Assist faculty in the Simulation Lab according to the prepared script.

• Trouble shoot problems with EKG machines, student iPads, computers, equipment and mannequins in the lab and report malfunctions to Resource Center Director.

• Organize and assist the fall and spring Graduate program on-campus intensives (OCIs), the spring graduate simulation lab and the semester check offs including:

• Obtain and manage volunteers

• Provide information and confirm with volunteers

• Organize rooms for simulation

• Record exams

• Assist in the control rooms

• Attend wellness events to organize equipment, order and manage supplies (1-2 events per month).

• Develop a larger standardized volunteer (patient) bank (over 700 volunteers per year).

• Prepare a thank you function or other event for volunteers.

• Assist the DNHP Resource Center Director with any other duties that become necessary.

• Assist the Undergraduate Program Director with Assessment and Evaluation data collection.

An licensed practical nurse LPN, LNA, CNA, MA or a registered nurse.The Nursing Lab Assistant will work 40 hours per week, 44 weeks per year (10 months-August 1 to June 1). Hours are variable and include evenings and alternate weekends.
