Key Position Details:

This position will primarily support the Nursing Assistant Academy program - focusing on program facilitation across the health system.

  • Classes will take place at the Allina Commons or any of our other sites both in the metro area and regional locations

  • Shifts may vary in length

  • 4 to 7 hours and will include occasional weekends

Job Description:

Supports the Nursing Professional Department programs at Allina Health. Supports the development, design, and delivery of programming. Primary responsibilities include curriculum design, development, and program facilitation across the health system.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Facilitates and coordinates NPD programs including program development, delivery, reporting to key stakeholder groups.

  • Demonstrates understanding of adult learning theory and principles.

  • Demonstrates excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrates enthusiasm in program delivery and design including innovation and evidence-based practice methodologies.

  • Manages program across sites with key partners.

  • Demonstrates use of technology to support program implementation, delivery, and evaluation.

  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.

  • Provides support and mentoring for nursing and allied staff.

  • Provides consultation in the development of and makes recommendations for orientation and development programs.

  • Maintains knowledge of NPD programs and aligns Allina Health program with key accreditation criteria.

  • Serves on councils or committees related to NPD programming.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • 3+ years of clinical experience
  • 2+ years of nursing professional development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • 1+ years of teaching/facilitation experience

Licenses/Certifications

  • Licensed Registered Nurse
  • MN Board of Nursing required if working in the state of MN upon hire
  • Licensed Registered Nurse
  • WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services required if working in the state of WI upon hire
  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support
  • Multisource required upon completion of orientation
