Position Summary Status: Full Time Department:

ICU Schedule: First Title: Nursing Operations Manager #LI-JM1 The Intensive Care Unitis a unit which provides highly skilled medical and nursing care to critically ill and injured adult patient.

Clinically, the unit provides advanced hemodynamic monitoring, artificial airway and ventilator management and other treatments that are necessary to aggressively treat the complex acutely ill and critically ill population. Patients may require one to one staffing due to the severity of their illness. Intensivist-led teams are available for consultation/management of patients in the ICU.

The ICU staff functions as part of a multi-disciplinary team including physicians, social worker, case management, physical & occupational therapist, respiratory therapist, dietician, chaplain and pharmacist to meet the needs of this population. This unit can also be used to admit intermediate and med surg overflow patients. Position Summary Provides leadership & operational oversight for an inpatient direct care unit or units.

Accountable for achievement of department and hospital goals in concert with other hospital and medical staff leadership. Qualifications Education/Training Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with Graduate degree in Business or health-related field preferred.

Licensure/Certification • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • May require one or more of the following certifications based on the assigned patient population: o Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) o Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) o Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS) o Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) • National leadership board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) within 2 years. Experience Two (2) years as a registered nurse in an acute care setting and one (1) year leadership experience.
