Health Central Hospital of Orlando Health is currently seeking a Nursing Operations Manager. This is a full-time clinical leadership position with a varying work schedule. As a Nursing Operations Manager at Health Central, you will report directly to the Patient Care Administrator and have direct oversight of 2 Clinical Nurse Assistant Managers and 90+ clinical staff. You will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of a 24/7 Medical Surgical unit including budget and financial responsibility, patient safety, quality and compliance, and management of staff, ensuring delivery of quality service and optimal patient flow. Education/Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required from an approved school of nursing

  • Master's degree in Nursing preferred

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current professional license as a registered nurse in the State of Florida

  • Must maintain current BLS

  • National Certification in Med/Surge or other related specialty area required to obtain within six (6) months

  • Certification in Leadership preferred

  • Other specialty certifications may be required (ACLS, PALS, NALS, TNCC, etc.)

Experience:

  • 1+ years of nursing leadership experience required

  • Prior Nursing Operations Manager experience preferred

  • 2+ years of registered nurse experience in an acute care setting required; prior Medical, Surgical or Telemetry preferred.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and manages unit/department budget to respond in a cost effective manner to changing patient and team member requirements

  • Evaluates the environment and makes recommendations to ensure optimal patient comfort, safety, and compliance with various standards of care, regulatory / governing bodies i.e. OSHA, JCAHO, infection control, risk management

  • Plans and coordinates quality and service activities in the department/unit and is responsible for the overall culture of safety within the department/unit

  • Analyzes, develops and maintains an effective and efficient nursing delivery model that reflects patient and family needs, ultimately achieving desired outcomes

  • Participates in the planning and implementation of new technologies, procedures, services to support day to day operations

  • Responsible for management of team members including recruitment, retention, supervision, evaluation and productivity

The Risk Management team at Health Central seeks to hire a Risk Manager II that is responsible for the facility or assigned area's risk management activities. Education/Training: * Bachelor's degree Experience: * Five (5) years of clinical or medical legal experience to include three years' experience in a supervisory capacity and two years Risk Management experience as a Risk Manager in Prevention. * Advanced PC literacy required.
