Health Central Hospital of Orlando Health is currently seeking a Nursing Operations Manager. This is a full-time clinical leadership position with a varying work schedule. As a Nursing Operations Manager at Health Central, you will report directly to the Patient Care Administrator and have direct oversight of 2 Clinical Nurse Assistant Managers and 90+ clinical staff. You will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of a 24/7 Medical Surgical unit including budget and financial responsibility, patient safety, quality and compliance, and management of staff, ensuring delivery of quality service and optimal patient flow. Bachelor's degree in Nursing required from an approved school of nursing
Master's degree in Nursing preferred
Current professional license as a registered nurse in the State of Florida
Must maintain current BLS
National Certification in Med/Surge or other related specialty area required to obtain within six (6) months
Certification in Leadership preferred
Other specialty certifications may be required (ACLS, PALS, NALS, TNCC, etc.)
1+ years of nursing leadership experience required
Prior Nursing Operations Manager experience preferred
2+ years of registered nurse experience in an acute care setting required; prior Medical, Surgical or Telemetry preferred.
Develops and manages unit/department budget to respond in a cost effective manner to changing patient and team member requirements
Evaluates the environment and makes recommendations to ensure optimal patient comfort, safety, and compliance with various standards of care, regulatory / governing bodies i.e. OSHA, JCAHO, infection control, risk management
Plans and coordinates quality and service activities in the department/unit and is responsible for the overall culture of safety within the department/unit
Analyzes, develops and maintains an effective and efficient nursing delivery model that reflects patient and family needs, ultimately achieving desired outcomes
Participates in the planning and implementation of new technologies, procedures, services to support day to day operations
Responsible for management of team members including recruitment, retention, supervision, evaluation and productivity
