Job Description

Nursing Informatics' goal is to bring new knowledge to the bedside by integrating the most current technology with MSKCC nursing practice. We are committed to providing access for our nurses to current, evidence-based, and creative ideas and technologies that will enable us to deliver the highest quality of cancer care possible.

As a member of the Nursing Informatics team, the Nursing Informatics Specialist (NIS) is an advanced degree informatics nurse with a consistent track record of leading and implementing successful clinical information system projects.

You Will:

  • Acts as a liaison to the divisions of nursing professional development and evidence-based practice.

  • Assist with project team efforts in the design, implementation, and evaluation of technology implementation in the clinical setting.

  • Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple clinical system projects in different phases of the systems development lifecycle.

  • Provides leadership in the coordination of information technology and healthcare activities.

  • Collaborate in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to nursing practice and clinical information systems and clinical informatics competencies.

You Need:

  • New York State RN License

  • Master's in Nursing (MSN)

  • Board certification in Nursing Informatics required

  • Clinical systems implementation required

Hours: Days, Monday-Friday & flexible as needed during implementations.

Essential Duties and Responsibility Specific Responsibilities include: * Build and lead team providing daily support and servicing of POS needs of a portfolio of Global clients headquartered in North America. * Provide daily support and servicing. Address client questions related to: DQ; Country, Regional and Global trends; product coding; feature developments. * Train clients on GfK POS tools, methodologies and core measurements. * Work with clients to ensure deliverables are optimized to address needs and drive value. * Interface with Data Out team on client deliverables including scope, quality and timeliness. * Deliver presentations / insights to clients on regular basis as agreed in the contract. * Become trusted industry expert in serviced categories, staying abreast of industry trends, and incorporating into client deliverables and recommendations Requirements Experience and Skill: * 7+ years of demonstrated successful experience in usage and analysis of Point of Sale data to drive insights and business recommendations * 3+ years of managerial experience * Specific industry experience in Consumer Technical Goods including IT, Telecomm, Consumer Electronics, or Home Appliances is strongly preferred. Candidates with a background in CPG will also be considered * Strong presentation skills – need to be comfortable presenting data to large, senior level audiences * Strong oral and written communication skills.
