Nursing Faculty Clinical Coordinator
National Louis University is seeking an exceptional individual who will coordinate all aspects of student clinical placements in addition to teaching responsibilities for our Nursing Programs. This is a 12-month Administrative Faculty appointment. Rank will be determined based on credentials and experience.

You will work with a dedicated team of Coaches and Instructors, Content Experts and Data Analysts to determine how to personalize the learning experience for your students. In addition to teaching content, you will also encourage critical thinking, clinical judgment, increase non-cognitive skill development and nurture academic confidence.
Each term you will be responsible for planning and organizing the nursing clinical and lab courses, including clinical site requests, orientation and clinical scheduling for all nursing students including online students. Clinical faculty assignments and/or preceptor assignments will be made in conjunction with the Executive Director of Nursing based on enrollment and need.

Essential Responsibilities
Teaching workload usually over the Fall, Winter and Spring terms
Identify, facilitate and monitor needed clinical affiliation agreements with all clinical facilities
Negotiate new clinical affiliation agreements to meet growing clinical rotation needs
Implement all clinical requests per each agency requirements to adequately meet nursing student clinical course rotations
Assist in the hiring process for adjunct clinical faculty in collaboration with the Executive Director of Nursing
Collect and verify licensure of all adjunct clinical faculty in collaboration with the Executive Director of Nursing
Organize and implement the orientation each term for new clinical/lab instructors
Serve as a resource for adjunct clinical faculty
Supervise and contribute to the evaluation of adjunct clinical faculty
Proactively monitor student clinical requirements and compliance
Determine clinical placement and schedules for nursing students each term in conjunction with the academic advisor ensuring appropriate progression
Assist online RN-BSN students to identify and secure appropriate clinical sites and affiliation agreements for direct care Population Health clinical hours
Monitor the completion of student clinical evaluations each term and ensure proper filing of such
Gather data regarding student, faculty and facility satisfaction with clinical experiences based on the Systematic Evaluation Plan
Assist with ongoing adjunct clinical faculty development in collaboration with both the Executive Director of Nursing and the Director of Simulation and Interprofessional Education.
Ensure the implementation of clinical practice standards across all nursing pathways
Contribute to annual program assessment related to clinical partners and nursing student clinical experiences
Work to advance the University and School of Nursing mission and vision; abide by the University and School of Nursing values, polices and procedures and promote a positive and engaging work environment
Identify and formulate goals for professional development growth
Qualifications
Current unencumbered Illinois nursing license or the ability to become licensed in Illinois (currently a non-compact state) required
Master's degree or higher in Nursing required
Minimum of two years clinical experience required
1 or more years of teaching experience required
Superior organizational skills and ability to multitask and adjust priorities in a dynamic environment required
Self-motivated and directed required
Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications including but not limited to creating spreadsheets, manipulating and analyzing data along with generating reports
