University of Utah Health is growing, and the excitement is building! We're seeking a dynamic and engaging leader with 5+ years of nursing leadership, and direct experience in inpatient and outpatient perioperative services for our new Nursing Director opportunity in the upcoming Ambulatory Care Complex (ACC).
This position directs the planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all internal operations of assigned clinical departments, including 6 new ORs, Same Day Surgery, Sterile Processing, and other related specialites. The incumbant will closely collaborate with senior nursing leadership and perioperative services in the main University Hospital OR. This role will also oversee the development of a new departmental workforce, clinical operations, construction, and instrument/equipment planning for the new facility.
This includes the planning and business objectives, budgetary information, and financial management operations of assigned departments. The incumbent acts as a catalyst between the department and its customers, and staff, to ensure continuity and quality of service and care.
This position reports directly to the Senior Nursing Director for Ambulatory Services and directs the operations and strategic planning of customer/patient services in support of the goals and mission of the organization.

BSN education (advanced degrees preferred), Five years of progressive management experience, and a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah (or one obtained within 90 days of hire under the interstate compact) are required. Inpatient and outpatient perioperative experience is also strongly preferred.

Qualifications Qualifications Required
Five years of progressive management experience.
Bachelor's Degree in related field.
Inpatient and outpatient nursing experience.
Experience directly in perioperative services.
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah, or obtain one within 90 days of hire under the interstate compact if switching residency to State of Utah. Must maintain current Interstate Compact (multi-state) license if residency is not being changed to Utah.
Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department. Qualifications (Preferred) Preferred
Master's degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Business Administration or a related area.
