Summary of Job Duties:

The Curriculum Coordinator/Success Navigator is responsible for working with the nursing programs at PCCUA. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

  • Responsibilities include serving as primary resource to students.

  • Build and foster relationships with prospective and current students interested in a nursing program.

  • Responds to student/faculty inquires in a timely manner.

  • Participates in recruitment efforts.

  • Support and guide students towards successful completion of the program.

  • Identify and support students in need of academic assistance and assist the student in developing an intervention plan.

  • Working collaboratively with faculty to advise and ensure curriculum design and development is in alignment with program outcomes and assessment.

  • Reviewing course syllabi, outlines, calendars and clinical rotation schedules as well as submitting to designated person by deadline along with unit and final exams as needed.

  • Collaborating with the program director/coordinator in matters relating to curriculum.

  • Assuming teaching responsibilities as described in the instructor job description.

  • Assist the program director/coordinator in maintaining the Systematic Plan for Evaluation (SPE).

  • Serving as a member of allied health standing committees and participating in student recruitment, advising, orientation and registration.

  • Supporting the curricular aspects of the accreditation process. Reviewing academic program materials for compliance regulations and guidelines.

  • Serving as a liaison to internal departments regarding curriculum development and requirements including serving on work groups and task forces.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Nursing with 2 years of recent clinical experience preferred. Previous experience in nursing education. Must have an active, unencumbered license to allow practice as a registered nurse in Arkansas and demonstrate expertise and competence in nursing practice.
