Assists the Nursing Unit Director in the overall management of the clinical and administrative activities of the designated unit and department that they support in order to ensure patients the provision of quality care.

Education Requirements

4 year/Bachelor's Degree

Leadership , Behavioral Unit, and Geriatric Experience Required

Certification and Licensure

BLS Certification

• If applicable as per the department assigned

ACLS Certification

• If applicable as per the department assigned

ACLS, Trauma

• If applicable as per the department assigned

PALS Certification

• If applicable as per the department assigned

Perianesthesia Nursing Certification

PA Registered Nurse License

• master's degree in psychiatric and mental health nursing, or its equivalent, from a school of nursing accredited by the NLN, OR be qualified by education and experience in the care of the mentally ill.*
