Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching Responsibilities
Instruction including hands-on and theory, clinical management of students, and administrative tasks that may include reports, clinical documentation, and student evaluations.
Assess the accomplishment of students on a regular basis.
Maintain records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
Direct supervision of students in a variety of clinical settings.
Instructional Development
Recommend for approval adequate instructional materials for course.
Work with other areas of the college such as Tutoring, Retention, etc. to help ensure student success.
Prepare reports in cooperation with Division Dean for input in planning/reporting system and/or for submission to the accrediting body of the College or program.
Professional Development
Attend relevant professional meetings.
Represent the College positively in interactions with the community and with professional and academic groups at local, state, and national levels.
Maintain frequent communication with nursing faculty (or course coordinators).
Minimum and Additional Requirements
REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in nursing is required. South Carolina Nursing License required with a minimum of two years' experience in Mental Health, Med-Surge, or Maternal Child Nursing. Must have current BLS certification. Must meet all requirements for clinical participation per clinical facility.
Preferred Qualifications
PREFERRED: Master's Degree in Nursing
