Position Summary
The Clinical Track (non tenure-seeking) biostatistician works with faculty and students to plan and design research and other scholarly projects (including writing statistical methods), manage data, analyze data, and disseminate findings. The Capstone College of Nursing bio-statistician will teach courses, primarily in the masters and doctoral programs. This is a representation of possible duties and is not an all-inclusive listing.
Detailed Position Information
This positions will provide analytical support for research and scholarly project efforts. They will select, communicate and execute the appropriate statistical analytical design required by the associated question/project design.
Tasks will include (but not be limited to) consulting with faculty and students on the development/design/ statistical methods for research and other scholarly projects; monitoring of data collection and storage; data management; statistical modelling; performing other methods of data analysis; interpretation of findings from data analyses; presentation and communication including development of graphic representation of findings as well as writing of results. This position will teach biostatistics and related content to masters and doctoral students as either course leader or as a course contributor. This position will also participate on doctoral student committees and on College Committees.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have an earned doctorate, teaching experience, and experience consulting with faculty and students on research and scholarly projects. Extensive knowledge of statistical and data management programs including SPSS, SAS, Excel, R or Python, and survey tools including Qualtrics and Redcap is needed.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have expertise in successful collaborations, mentoring others, participation in successful externally funded proposals and projects, and in helping to write manuscripts.
