We are looking for a Nursing Asst. with Orthopedics-Acute Unit at St.
Joseph Hospital Orange.
Location: Orange, CA
Shift: 12-hour Night
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse the Nurse Assistant will provide routine direct patient care within specific unit policies and procedures, report pertinent information to the Registered Nurse and respond to patient care needs.
Ability to communicate effectively in English (both verbal and written)
Ability to interact with patients, co-workers, and physicians in a courteous, service oriented manner
Demonstrates cooperation and flexibility by responding to varying and unpredictable situations.
Demonstrates ability to walk and stand for prolonged period of time.
Ability to transport and lift patients using hospital approved lifting devices or techniques.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 6 months acute, psych or long-term care facility experience OR current California Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) certification OR completion of first semester of a Registered Nurse academic program.
License/Certification: American Heart Association Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
Preferred Position Qualification:
Experience: Previous acute care experience.
