We are looking for a Nursing Asst. with Orthopedics-Acute Unit at St.

Joseph Hospital Orange.

Location: Orange, CA

Schedule: Full-time

Shift: 12-hour Night

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse the Nurse Assistant will provide routine direct patient care within specific unit policies and procedures, report pertinent information to the Registered Nurse and respond to patient care needs.


  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (both verbal and written)

  • Ability to interact with patients, co-workers, and physicians in a courteous, service oriented manner

  • Demonstrates cooperation and flexibility by responding to varying and unpredictable situations.

  • Demonstrates ability to walk and stand for prolonged period of time.

  • Ability to transport and lift patients using hospital approved lifting devices or techniques.

Position Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 6 months acute, psych or long-term care facility experience OR current California Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) certification OR completion of first semester of a Registered Nurse academic program.

License/Certification: American Heart Association Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.

Preferred Position Qualification:

Experience: Previous acute care experience.
