Nursing Assistants (NAs) are vital to daily operations in hospitals and nursing care facilities, and are often considered "front-line" healthcare workers. NAs may work in a variety of settings including nursing homes, hospitals, group homes, personal homes, and assisted living facilities. NA training requires just a few weeks of time and provides the information and skills needed to become a nursing assistant, delivering care and support for residents and patients in nursing communities.

What does a Nursing Assistant do? This position would assist residents with daily living activities. This can range from:

  • laying out their clothing,
  • assisting them with their toiletries,
  • feeding,
  • or providing general comfort.

The relationships formed provide a fulfillment that cannot be measure nor explained. Your life could be enriched by a step in a different career direction.

Augustana are offering a Certified Nursing Assistant course starting soon. Classes will be held at Augustana HCC in Moose Lake MN.
