Job Summary:

The Nursing Assistant

• NA provides basic nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed nurse. The NA assists with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, and helps patients with mobility and exercise. The NA also performs basic medical procedures, such as taking vital signs and collecting specimens, and assists with medical equipment and supplies. Once you have your CNA License completed we will change the title to CNA and the hourly rate will be $19.12/hour.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding

• Help patients with mobility and exercise

• Perform basic medical procedures, such as taking vital signs and collecting specimens

• Assist with medical equipment and supplies

• Document patient care and observations

• Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members

• Follow infection control and safety procedures

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must be enrolled in a current CNA Class to be considered

• Completion of a nursing assistant training program

• Current certification as a nursing assistant in the state of Utah

• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

• Ability to perform basic medical procedures and use medical equipment

• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
