The shift for this position is 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


High school graduate or GED equivalent. Computer proficiency with Windows based programs. # Human relations and interpersonal relationship skills required.
Effective verbal communication skills. Exercise courtesy, pleasantness, and tact in dealing with others in normal working contacts. Able to present a good hospital image to the public.
Aptitude and willingness to engage in all aspects of patient care.# # Under the general supervision of the Unit Manager, receives delegation from a Registered Nurse. Work subject to frequent interruptions. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.# Recognize the patient record as a confidential, legal document.
Obtain/Maintain CPR certification in adult maneuvers (child and infant may be required by some departments) at all times.# May be required to lift more than 35 pounds. # A Nurse Assistant#s responsibilities may include: Performing basic patient care needs and services essential to caring for the patients# personal and comfort needs Complete personal hygiene Collecting specimens Assisting patients with daily walking and exercise Transporting patients between departments Observing, reporting and recording vital signs of the patients May assist in#post-mortem care Assisting in keeping accurate records Assist in admitting, transferring and discharging patients according to hospital procedure

As a Certified Nursing Assistant with NeuroRestorative Michigan, you will perform hands-on nursing care with an emphasis on daily care needs and personal hygiene. Responsibilities: * Monitor the health conditions of individuals served, ensure quality services provided * Administer proper medications according to physician's orders and established guidelines. Provide documentation for all medications given. * Provide assistance and/or supervision to individuals in the areas of daily living, personal care, financial management, and community and social integration. * Help maintain safe and quality supports for individuals served. * Perform, coordinate and assist with household activities such as housekeeping and meal preparation. * Provide transportation for individuals to activities and appointments. * Initiate emergency procedures on as needed basis. * Use equipment correctly and safely; report any hazardous conditions, equipment, accidents or incidents to supervisor. * Maintain current progress notes and any other appropriate documentation, * Actively attend and participate in team meetings and trainings as required. * Maintain confidentiality and treat others with dignity and respect in all you do. Qualifications: What we ask of you: * High School diploma or G.E.D. * One year CNA experience, ideally with individuals with brain injury or developmental disabilities in a hospital, residential, or long-term care setting. * Current CNA certificate in the state of Michigan. * Current Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, First Aid certifications * Ability to effectively communicate with staff, residents, and families * Ability to travel locally between programs.
