Nursing Assistant Instructor, Part-Time

Carteret Community College is accepting applications for adjunct (part-time) Nursing Assistant Instructors. The hourly pay rate is $36.82 per contact hour of instruction. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

•  Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines

• Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics

• Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas

• Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member

• Teach all scheduled classes

• Maintain accurate rec

• Provide quality instruction, create and maintain an environment which emphasizes teaching and learning

Education:

• Certificate/Diploma in nursing from an accredited nursing program.

• Preferred: Associate degree in a field related to the courses being taught.

Licensing:

• North Carolina State Board of Nursing License in Registered Nursing

• Maintain CEU's as set forth by the North Carolina State Board of Nursing

Knowledge and Skills:

• Teaching and administrative experience leading to this level of responsibility. Demonstration of skills in the areas of: Nursing assistant, communication, organization, and managing multiple priorities; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, community groups, and others; and demonstrate ability to work within a collaborative team environment.

• Knowledge of North Carolina State Board of Nursing and NC Division of Health Service Regulation laws, rules and regulations.

• Skilled in use of instructional equipment to include manual BP cuffs, stethoscope use, ADL equipment and usage.

• Skilled in use of computers, to include but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

• Have knowledge of electronic health record reviewing.

• Have knowledge of Moodle for web-based learning education.
