What you'll do
Evaluate qualifications and maintain functional control of Air Force Nurse Corps officers, enlisted nursing personnel, civilian nurses and ancillary nursing personnel
Establish, interpret and direct implementation of nursing policy
Plan and direct assignments and training of professional and paraprofessional nursing personnel
Provide staff-development programs for all levels of nursing personnel
Evaluate performance of nursing service personnel, nursing activities, standards of nursing care and nursing practice

REQUIREMENTS
You must meet several requirements before joining the Air Force. These concern your background, overall health and other standards set by the Air Force, Department of Defense and federal law.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree or be within one year of attaining your degree.
A passing score on the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT)
Qualifications
Completion of Officer Training School (OTS), Air Force Academy (AFA) or Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC)
Must be at least 17, but has not reached age 42 on the date of enlistment
